I also met someone at a lunch counter who was driving to San Francico from Brooklyn on Route 50 that lives two blocks from my new address.

This is the view from the middle of the state. So far I have gotten lucky with the weather, I have been chasing this storm system for three days now. Because of the storm, the temp in the desert has been way cooler than normal. The only issue is getting too forward in the clouds; it begins to rain.

It was 81 where I stopped for the night and it was the mountians! Also KOA has a “family frendly” vibe… where are the axe murderers? Ha

I had always driven by Davis on the way to Tahoe and wondered if there was anything that was not strip-mall-y near Sacramento. The answer is yes. I also thought Vito’s slice of New York was a good choice for my first meal, I’ll see how close it gets to the real thing when I get to NYC…
